Terms for Doctors
Effective date: 15 October 2026
These terms apply to every doctor who uses the Aasaanop doctor app, whether listed independently or through a hospital or clinic. The Terms for Facilities also apply to doctors who sign up their own practice.
1. Registration
You confirm that you hold a valid registration with the National Medical Commission or a State Medical Council and will keep it valid. You will tell us within 7 days if it is suspended or cancelled. Your registration number appears on your profile and prescriptions. We encourage you to enrol on ABDM's Healthcare Professionals Registry and add your HPR ID.
2. Professional responsibility
- You are solely responsible for your medical advice, diagnosis, treatment and prescriptions.
- You will follow the NMC's professional-conduct regulations and the Telemedicine Practice Guidelines, 2020 for remote consultations.
- You will prescribe only within the limits of the law, preferably by generic name.
- You will not prescribe medicines that cannot be prescribed remotely.
3. AI scribe and other AI features
AI features (voice-note transcription, draft notes, prescription reading, interaction alerts) are aids only. You must review, correct and approve anything they produce before it reaches a patient. Tell your patient when you record a consultation for the voice-note feature.
4. Confidentiality and data
Use patient information only to treat that patient. You see only patients you or your facility treat. Do not copy patient data out of the Platform except as your practice requires and the law allows. The facility you work for is the Data Fiduciary for its records (see the Privacy Policy and Facility Terms).
5. Profile and listings
Keep your profile, specialities, fees, availability and leave up to date. Do not post misleading claims, guarantee outcomes, or solicit reviews.
6. Fees
Consultation fees are set by you or your facility and shown before booking. Any seat or plan fee for your use of the doctor app is shown in your plan and billed to you or your facility.
7. Ending use
You or your facility may stop your access at any time. Records you created stay with the facility as the law requires.
